"SACRED SITE FOUNDATION OF SOUTHERN AFRICA"

NPO Registration issued in March 2012 - Reg No: 100-727-NPO
SSFSA is now a Registered NPO (Not For Profit Organisation) and a vehicle to help further research, protect & raise consciousness regarding the Sacred Sites of Southern Africa, and to promote our indigenous knowledge, spirit & wisdom through an authentic, heartfelt honouring & respect of these sacred places of the Ancients.  The Mapping of the Southern African Sacred Sites is the primary objective of the Sacred Sites Foundation of Southern Africa, along with developing a strong network of Community Custodianship projects around the country.
OUR VISION:
To be a unique collection of people, with varied skills, expertise & perspectives, mindful & dedicated to upholding the sacredness of the task we have set:
* To conciously & respectfully stop the desecration of prehistoric Sacred Sites in Southern Africa;
* To research, protect & develop already endangered High Impackt Sites in SA;
* To do this by including all studies & expertise, physical & spiritual, academic & metaphysical, forming sustainable infrastructures that create ongoing jobs in the arts & culture as well as in Conservation Tourism. In doing so, honouring & uplifting the Spirit of South Africa & all it's people.

The scale and magnitude of the South African profiles, observatories and Markerstones covering an area over 800 kilometres long is monumental in proportion and defies explanation.  Much work remains to be done to document all the known sites, many of which lie on privately owned land and are inaccessible to the public.  This Mapping of the Southern African Sacred Sites is the primary objective of the Sacred Sites Foundation of Southern Africa, along with developing a strong network of Community Custodianship projects around the country.
