DEAN LIPRINI: Is a Sacred Site Researcher and Geomancer, who was born and grew up on the Lower Slopes of Table Mountain in Cape Town South Africa.  He has been facilitating sacred journeys for over 14 years.

Dean has more than 20yrs full time, hands on experience and is one of the pioneers in this field. He has authored a book entitled

“Pathways of the Sun – Unveiling the Mysteries of Table Mountain and Beyond” Published 2006 and has recently compiled a DVD

“Pathways of the Sun – An Awakening”

Dean has unveiled many Sacred Sites of Southern Africa – which collectively weave together many layers of Ancient History - Physical, Emotional and Spiritual, adding to his deep insight and knowledge of the Metaphysical Healing Properties that surround and enshrine these Sacred Places.


Christel Engelbrecht: is a individual and group facilitator, and South African tourist guide. She shares the tools and experiences gained on her own Soul journey with fellow travelers. Christel believes in the healing power of creativity and nature, as well as each individuals own potential to heal him/herself.  Christel has taken many groups on journeys around Southern Africa, over the past 10 years. She is passionate about the country of her birth, and loves introducing visitors to its natural beauty and the variety of cultures that call South Africa their home.  Christel’s life is about exploring, learning and growing personally and spiritually, and it brings her great joy to share this creative exploration with others.

Arrival day at O.R. Tambo, Johannesburg

As we are all arriving from different corners of the globe, we have chosen a suitable hotel close to the airport, where we will all arrive at various times, on the 16th September. The tour will start officially on the 17th of September. Those of us who are already at the hotel by dinner time, can meet at 19h00 for dinner (this first evening meal for your own expense).

17 September 2013, Tuesday  

Credo Mutwa’s village, Cradle of humankind

Overnight cradle of Humankind


Your guides, Dean Liprini and Christel Engelbrecht will meet you at breakfast at 7h00. We will depart to visit the village founded by Credo Mutwa, the famous healer and prophet, in Soweto. Here we will experience the art Credo created, and learn more about the life story of this profound person. After lunch we will venture into the Magaliesberg. This area is known as the ‘Cradle of humankind‘, a world heritage site due to the discovery of significant Hominid remains in the area. The Hominid remains discovered in the area, are believed to be those of Australopithecus africanus , the first intentional toolmakers on our planet – hence the origin of mankind. We will visit the dolomite Sterkfontein caves, where many of these discoveries were made.


18 September 2013, Wednesday

Daytrip to the Kruger National Park

Overnight Skukuza camp, Kruger National Park

The journey continues to the East, through the mineral rich Highveld, into the picturesque lowveld, home to the famous African animals. Our destination is the famous Kruger National Park. We will experience some of the awe-inspiring African animals in close proximity on our evening game drive. Our day will end with dinner in the camp.










September 2013, Thursday (Full Moon)

An early rise will hopefully be rewarded by wonderful sightings of the wild animals on our morning game drive. After our return to the camp, and a late breakfast, we will travel through the park in the coach, in a southerly direction. We will spend a magical evening together, in the camp, enjoying a traditional South African ‘braai‘ (barbeque)


20 September 2013, Friday

Swaziland, day tour to ZululandDay02-MaleLion

Overnight Zululand

Swaziland, a neighbouring country to South Africa, is one of the few true monarchies in the world. On our day journey from North to South, through Swaziland, we will see many traditional Swazi homesteads, dotted in the mountainous landscape. We will visit a successful social project run by the Swazi’s and a traditional Swazi market. Our day will end back in South Africa, with a delicious dinner at a hotel in Zululand.



21 – 23 September 2013, Saturday – Monday (22nd Spring Equinox 10:44 pm)

Hluhluwe Imfolozi Game Reserve, primitive trail in the African bush

Today we will enter the oldest Big 5 Game reserve on foot, with professional rangers, our backpack, sleeping bag and nothing else. For 2 days and 2 nights, we can immerse ourselves in the unspoilt African bush. The experience of seeing an elephant, or giraffe, close up is breathtaking, knowing that there is nothing, but bush between us and them.



We will camp beside the Imfolozi river at night, and be mesmerised by billions of stars in the night sky, as we do our solitary night watch!



23rd September 2013, Monday

Return from the bush, experience of Zulu SangomasOvernight at Gogo Nomzimane’s homestead

Day07-HealerOn our return from the bush, we have time for a shower, before we depart to Gogo Nomzimane’s homestead close to Pietermaritzburg. Gogo Nomzimane is a traditional healer or sangoma, who will host us for a night. We will have a chance to witness her and her colleagues working, and she will share some of her fascinating stories of her life and the ancient Zulu healing traditions.



24 September,Tuesday

Spring Equinox, flight to Port Elizabeth

After breakfast we will head toward Durban, from where we will fly to Port Elizabeth.

On route to Keurboomstrand we visit the giant yellowwood tree over nine hundred years old, found in the Great Tsitsikamma Forest where the elusive forest elephants still roam free.  Meditation at the The Big Tree. Journey on to Keurbooms Strand, to our beautiful lodgings overlooking the unspoilt beach. 

Ocean swimming and connection to the dolphins and whales who frequent these waters. Fireside Dinner and043 Cathedral rock
(fresh local produce, barbecued fish/meats and plenty of vegetables & salads.


25 September 2013, Wednesday 

Cathedral Rock - Robberg – Plettenberg bay

Overnight at Keurboomstrand

Breakfast at lodgings

Visit to Keurboomstrand and Cathedral Rock. A powerful energy emerges from this ancient portal: the energies flowing from west to east along the Garden Route explode into the ocean here - it is a Great Female womb entrance to the Primal Ocean. Noontime meditation at Cathedral Rock, alignment and ritual rebirthing experience. 

Visit to the ancient caves with some of the deepest shell middens in the world. Will the Whales and Dolphins visit?
Lunch overlooking Keurboomstrand.

Visit to an ancient burial cave on the Robberg Peninsula: the Nelson Bay Cave is a site where painted stone grave rituals were held - we will see remnants of the early Stone Age tools and linger to practice sounding and meditation in the cave. Dinner at the Decks overlooking Look Out Beach at Plettenberg Bay.

Hermanus and the whales


Overnight at Hermanus

Depart for Mossel Bay. Visit to the Cape St Blaize cave, a cavern that was inhabited by humans in prehistoric times. This entire area is said to be one of the oldest sites of human survival during the last Ice Age. Stone sentinels protect the cave entrance. Lunch in an awesome setting. Depart for Hermanus, Arrival at our lodgings overlooking the Indian Ocean, free time to swim in tidal pools and visit the market. Late afternoon communion with the whales: whale breath meditation.

Dinner in a converted Strandloper (coastal dwelling San/Bushman) cave by the ocean.


27 September 2013, Friday

Cape Town and Table mountain                                                

Overnight at Cape Town - Lagoon Beach.

Breakfast at lodgings, early morning sighting and connecting to the whales. travel to the Mother City, Cape Town. After a short lunch, we go up the new Natural Wonder of the World Table Mountain to the top via the Cable Car, here we visit the Eye of the Table Mountain Goddess, we explore the energies and have a meditation, Evening at the Waterfront shopping Dinner.

Cape point – primal base chakra

Overnight at Cape Town

We awake and after a scrumptious breakfast we travel further down to the South Western Tip of the Peninsula, stopping briefly to visit the Penguin colony at Simon's Town. Here at Cape Point & Cape of Good hope, we place our feet in the ocean at this vortex of sacred waters to experience the powerful energies found here…What do we feel, we are at the South Western tip of Africa the Primal Base Chakra & Divine Tuning fork….will we get in Tune?

Picnic lunch at this beautiful and powerful Earth Energy Point. After our sharing if time allows we venture forth for a late afternoon stroll into the nearby Khoisan Community of Ocean View with18 our local guide…we experience the feelings and emotions of life in the Township. We meet with everyday people, local musicians, traditional healers….what can we do? Sing with them dance with them…?

These two Sacred Nadis the Sun valley the deepest vault line across the Peninsula. We work energetically to better understand the two Divine Masculine and Divine Feminine Energies that enshrine these two Special places of Power and Nurturance. Dean will make a shamanic tea from the surrounding healing herbs, to help imbibe the Earth Heaven Song Enshrined and better connect with the energies of each place. These are two of the most powerful transformative energy centers on the Cape Peninsula, what songs will be summoned from this Sacred Place! How can we better understand and honor the divine Masculine /Feminine with in us!

Overnight at Bushmans Kloofbushman

We leave our cosy hotel heading up the West Coast of South Africa, on route to the Sacred Bushman’s Valley, it is here the Ancient one’s experienced the Sacred Path of the Elephants, the Great Wisdom Keepers. Here we will overnight in converted cottages of the early Farm workers. (Cute and cosy).  Before Sunset we will walk the trail to experience the land and the shamanic rock paintings left by these Ancient people.20

They knew much of the Nature of Heaven and Earth and had an open communication with the Stars.  Here Dean will teach a form of meditation to help access the Star communication portal that is here.

1st October 2013 Tuesday

The Franschhoek Wine lands - Stellenbosch/Paarl

A final light lunch together at the Boschendal Wine estate to imbibe in the beauty of this special place and the spirit of the grape.

Your deposit payment is your agreement to all the conditions stated below:


1. A 50% deposit is required to secure your reservation.

2. The full payment of the cost of the trip must be paid at least 3 months (90 Days) before the trip starts - unless arranged otherwise.

3. In the event of your cancellation 30 days or more before departure your deposit payment of 50% is forfeited.

4. In the event of your cancellation less than 30 days before departure 100% of total cost is forfeited.

5. All cancellation must be in writing. If the reason for cancellation is covered by your insurance policy, you may be able to claim these charges from your insurance.

6. Soul Journey reserves the right to adjust prices without notice, to reflect fluctuations in foreign exchange rates, fuel cost or tariff rates.

7. Your own paid up Travel insurance is mandatory for all clients and must provide proof of cover for your own medical expenses including evacuation and repatriation in an emergency.

8. Souljourney reserves the right to alter the itinerary, the route, the transportation or accommodation with or without prior notice, should it be deemed necessary.

9. Soul Journey purchases transportation, accommodation facilities and catering services from various independent suppliers that are not subject to its control. Soul Journey cannot, therefore, be held liable for any death, personal injury or any loss which may occur due to any act or omission of such supplier or by reason of any other event over which it has no control.

10. While every precaution is taken for the safety of the clients, Soul Journey does not hold itself responsible for force majeure, any accident, injury, death, illness, theft, loss of or damage to any property or delays from any cause whatsoever sustained or suffered by a client, occurring any time during the trip. The client hereby indemnifies and holds blameless Soul Journey it’s members, agents and helpers from any claim of whatsoever nature.
